Argentina’s very own Pacifica is on tour in North America, and recently returned to the place of their musical inspiration – none other than New York City. Initial bonding over their shared love of The Strokes, the no-longer-a-cover-band duo of Inés Adam (guitar, vocals) and Martina Nintzel (bass, vocals) have found their place in the music scene by paying homage to their forebears while still crafting catchy hooks that sound distinctly Pacifica. In 2023, they released “Freak Scene” – their first official record of entirely original tracks. From the slinky bass of “Premature Rejection,” to the rollicking guitar phrases on “With or Without You,” to the shout-it-out-loud chorus of their hit single “Anita,” Inu & Martu had the whole of Baby’s All Right jumping.
