First we get Virtual Self, then we get Second Sky Festival, then we get Virtual Self AT Second Sky Festival…Porter Robinson has given us so much these past few years. The one thing we’ve been missing: a follow-up to his flawless album Worlds.
It’s not that we don’t love Virtual Self. Really, we adore his other project and everything that comes with it, but there’s just something so special about Worlds. And so, imagine our excitement when just yesterday, Porter posts a picture of himself and a leaf.
Our boy is just as soft as ever in a classic over-sized sweater. But something is different! He’s blonde. And we mean very blonde. It’s certainly a different look, but not bad. If that wasn’t enough, the caption threw us into a frenzy.
“IF THIS DOESNT MEAN NEW PORTER MUSIC IS IN THE WORKS THEN WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON”
He asked it before everyone on reddit, Twitter and the Portercord could. What the hell is going on, indeed? We’re not quite sure yet what the correlation is between new music is and the hair, but maybe he just needed a change.
Whatever it is, we’re certain to find out soon enough. This is the summer of Porter Robinson, that’s for sure. And we’re all for it.
